What To Bring From Home

Bring as little as possible. Remember personal items such as:

  • bathrobe
  • comb or brush
  • deodorant
  • pajamas
  • shaving kit
  • slippers
  • reading material
  • toothbrush and toothpaste
  • containers for dentures, glasses, contact lenses or hearing aid
  • health insurance cards and forms
  • a list of your medications

Please do not bring anything of value, including the following:

  • Cash: you will need only a few dollars for newspapers, TV rental and sundries. If you must bring valuables, deposit them in the Hospital safe on admission day. The hospital is not responsible for any valuables not checked into the Hospital safe.
  • TVs, large radios, or large electrical appliances. Although small battery-operated radios with earphones are permitted, AM/FM radio is available through your TV at no extra charge.
  • Cellular phones are strictly forbidden within the Hospital.
  • DO NOT bring any medication with you. Your physician will prescribe medication during your hospital stay. You may receive only medication dispensed from the hospital pharmacy and administered by a nurse.
