Patient Relations

The Office of Patient Relations provides advocacy for patients and their families.  Patient Relations representatives answer questions, provide information, facilitate problem-solving, and coordinate communication between the patient or family and the appropriate hospital staff.

Located in the main lobby of the hospital, the Patient Relations Office is open from 9:00am - 5:00pm Monday through Friday. A special telephone hotline, 215-707-CARE (707-2273) is staffed by Patient Relations representatives during these hours.  Weekend, evening, and holiday assistance is available through our answering service.

In addition to advocacy, Patient Relations offers the following services:

  • fulfillment of special patient/family needs
  • translation for non-English speaking patients
  • assistive device for hearing-impaired patients
  • regional hotel accommodations for families
  • management of on-site accommodations for families
  • retrieval of patient valuables and possessions
  • special program amenities
  • Chaplaincy
  • visitor policy exceptions
  • television services
